Two weeks of Powerful Knowledge in Mini-PCNL technique
10 - 21 November 2025
Guangzhou, China
From 10th to 21st November 2025, Guangzhou (China) will become the epicenter of surgical innovation with the launch of the 1st Edition of The MiniPerc Training Program: A Bridge to Guangzhou by Devicare & Dr. Zeng.
This exclusive program, organised and endorsed by Devicare, offers a unique training opportunity at The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, one of China’s leading centers for medical innovation. The program is under the mentorship of Dr. Juan Manuel López; program coordinator and specialist in Urolithiasis at Hospital Clínic of Barcelona and Dr. Guohua Zeng, an international pioneer in Mini-PCNL and the inventor of the Super-Mini-PCNL (SMP).
This program is designed exclusively for Spanish urologists who are interested in acquiring expertise in the Mini-PCNL and SMP techniques. Each year, one scholarship is granted to an exceptional candidate who will benefit from an intensive academic and hands-on immersion program lasting two weeks. This program is designed to refine surgical precision and enhance clinical outcomes, ultimately improving the quality of life for patients with renal lithiasis.
Devicare proudly leads ans sponsors this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to advancing excellence and innovation in urology.
Improve the surgical standards of Spanish urologists by providing advanced training in Mini-PCNL and SMP.
Kidney stone surgery is rapidly evolving and EAU guidelines identify a grey zone regarding miniaturization in PCNL. While smaller tracts reduce bleeding risk, they may increase residual fragments. SMP overcomes this by combining active suction with increased irrigation inflow, enhancing efficiency through the “vacuum cleaner effect.”
This program offers a unique chance to master this innovative technique bridging PCNL and flexible ureteroscopy (fURS).
Ideal for surgeons committed to innovation, precision, and delivering better outcomes through minimally invasive excellence.
The selected participant will benefit from a grant to cover the flight expenses between Spain and Guangzhou (China) and a training program that includes:
Official Certification: Participants will receive a certificate of participation signed by Dr. López and Dr. Zeng.
Theoretical training: Comprehensive lectures on the techniques, indications, and outcomes of Mini-PCNL and SMP.
Hands-on surgical training in a controlled clinical setting designed to develop and refine surgical skills for Mini-PCNL and SMP.
Specialized course on metabolic analysis and post-surgical medical management of kidney stone disease.
International networking opportunities with leading experts in Mini-PCNL fostering professional growth and global collaboration.
The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University
The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University was founded in 1903. It is a large-scale tertiary A-level hospital. It covers 50,940 square meters, with a construction area of 188,000 sqm. It has 2,200 beds, 46 clinical departments and various emergency departments.

The Department of Urology, Minimally Invasive Surgery Center is the pioneer of endourology in China. Every year, more than 6000 operations are performed, with most of them are endourological procedures, such as PCNL/URL/LAP/ESWL/ TURP/TURBT.
The Department was certificated as national urologist training center and provides simulators and animal models for practice in minimally invasive surgery. Furthermore, there is also an independent research laboratory in the urology department, with extensive research in urolithiasis.
